Dear friends, young researchers, and symposium participants,

    It is my great pleasure to inform all of you that the 13th Educational Symposium on Radiation and Health by Young Scientists 2026 (ESRAH 2026) will be held in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, under the joint organization of Hokkaido University of Science, Hokkaido University, Japan Health Care College, and Hirosaki University.

    The Educational Symposium on Radiation and Health is designed to provide a forum for interdisciplinary exchange and discussion in fields related to radiation health science. This symposium will bring together high school students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, young professionals, and leading researchers from around the world.

    The symposium welcomes participants from a wide range of fields related to radiation, including the effects of radiation on the environment and the human body, emergency medicine, radiation physics, radiation chemistry, radiation biology, radiation protection, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, and many other related areas.

    The theme of this year’s symposium is “Advancing the Future of Radiation Sciences through Environmental and Medical Perspectives.” Through this theme, we hope to explore new directions for the future of radiation science from both environmental and medical viewpoints.

    We also hope that this symposium will provide an opportunity for fruitful discussions on radiation science from diverse perspectives and across various professional and academic backgrounds.

In this regard, I sincerely hope that many young researchers, including undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers, will take part in this symposium.

    We warmly welcome all of you to participation in this symposium. We also hope that you will enjoy the city of Sapporo and its around areas during the pleasant season from summer to autumn.
